Happy Weekend from Florencia Bay Beach

Located in the Pacific Rim National Park on Vancouver Island is a beautiful piece of nature called Florencia Bay beach.  A short walk in to the beach brings you into a natural paradise of sun and sand.  I have been visiting this beach for many years and it is still very untouched and natural.

This beach is very easy to walk and is surrounded by trees, sun, and surf.  What more could you want in life?

Listening to the sound of the water breaking in on the shore is very relaxing and clears your mind.  As humans we sometimes think too much.  Calming the mind is important to your health and happiness.

Lots of driftwood washes up here and some artistic folks enjoy the peaceful atmosphere to create their masterpieces.  I was very impressed with the above Driftwood man.  He stood tall on the beach and appeared as a watcher of all activities.  I have seen similar driftwood creatures on other beaches but this one is exceptional.

Go play outside

This is a perfect beach for a long walk when the tide is low.  There are lots of interesting shells, rocks, and sea creatures to be seen.  In addition this is a fantastic beach to go play outside!

I hope you get a chance to visit your favorite beach this weekend.  Nature soothes and heals the tired human soul.  Above all, being beside or in the ocean is my zen place to be.

A short but slippery hike in to Little Qualicum Falls.  Beautiful green shades contrasted against the snow make you feel like you are in a fantasy world of nature.  It is extremely quiet today until we turn a corner and start to hear the falls.

A slight mist in the air helps create a vibrant scene of water cascading down a rocky gorge.  Truly an elemental nature experience.  A person could be mesmerized for hours staring at all this lovely water.

The closer you look the better it gets.  You can really feel the spirit of the deep forest waterfall.  It is a special healing experience hiking into this gem of nature.  Nature is the mirror image of spiritual reality.

We really enjoyed this short deep forest walk to the Falls.  There are longer walks you can take if you wish.   This park is very easy to access and the parking is great.  I recommend it to anyone who loves nature.  Please check the link below for more information on the park.

Deep Forest Fractals Forest walk

A walk in the forest has inspired a few deep forest fractals.  I love the elements and textures of a well-evolved old growth forest.

Deep Forest Fractals cedar stumps

There are lots of old red cedar stumps in the forest that are perfect for nature mandalas.  Many old trees that have been cut down are kept alive by other trees in the area.  Their roots are nurtured and provided with nutrients by other plant roots for still unknown purposes.

Moss mandalas and Deep Forest Fractals

Deep forest moss is everywhere in the forest especially during the moist winter months in the Pacific Northwest Canada.  Their soft and intricate textures make a lovely mandala as above.

Take the time to walk in your special nature paradise especially when you feel your energy is low and you need to recharge.   Equally important, being in the deep forest helps me to focus on what is important in my life.  The modern world contains too many distractions.  These distractions can complicate your life and can cause depression.  When we walk in the deep forest we are returning to a default world full of fresh air and good nature vibes!  Consequently – how can you not feel better for it! 🙂

The maple trees were dripping with moss coupled with their yellow leaves which brought a little artificial sunlight to the nature scene.

The main waterfall was spectacular with its own cosmic light illuminating the huge expanse of water flowing to the ocean.  Altogether it was a fantastic walk in a place of amazing nature.
