A short but slippery hike in to Little Qualicum Falls.  Beautiful green shades contrasted against the snow make you feel like you are in a fantasy world of nature.  It is extremely quiet today until we turn a corner and start to hear the falls.

A slight mist in the air helps create a vibrant scene of water cascading down a rocky gorge.  Truly an elemental nature experience.  A person could be mesmerized for hours staring at all this lovely water.

The closer you look the better it gets.  You can really feel the spirit of the deep forest waterfall.  It is a special healing experience hiking into this gem of nature.  Nature is the mirror image of spiritual reality.

We really enjoyed this short deep forest walk to the Falls.  There are longer walks you can take if you wish.   This park is very easy to access and the parking is great.  I recommend it to anyone who loves nature.  Please check the link below for more information on the park.

The maiden hair fern is present along the banks of the river and demonstrates a natural fractal arrangement of its leaves.

The maple trees were dripping with moss coupled with their yellow leaves which brought a little artificial sunlight to the nature scene.

The main waterfall was spectacular with its own cosmic light illuminating the huge expanse of water flowing to the ocean.  Altogether it was a fantastic walk in a place of amazing nature.

Beautiful fall Reflections
Spider Lake fall reflections

It was a lovely day to catch the Spider Lake fall reflections.  The water was very calm and a beautiful shade of blue.   Nature is the mirror image of spiritual reality. You can really feel that here.

This park is very peaceful and quiet – a real zen zone.  I always enjoy the fresh air and clarity of the water.

Spectacular fall scenery

This area was previously a gravel pit and now it is a fantastic recreation area for fisherman, kayaks, paddle boards, and swimmers.  It is a good example of industrial land converted back into nature!

A short drive north of Parksville in the center of Vancouver Island, makes this a great place to visit.  Nearby are the Horne Lake Caves which are equally as fun and interesting to visit.  Please check out more in my blog post below.

Also Horne Lake Adventure here!
