It was a lovely day to catch the Spider Lake fall reflections. The water was very calm and a beautiful shade of blue. Nature is the mirror image of spiritual reality. You can really feel that here.
This park is very peaceful and quiet – a real zen zone. I always enjoy the fresh air and clarity of the water.
This area was previously a gravel pit and now it is a fantastic recreation area for fisherman, kayaks, paddle boards, and swimmers. It is a good example of industrial land converted back into nature!
A short drive north of Parksville in the center of Vancouver Island, makes this a great place to visit. Nearby are the Horne Lake Caves which are equally as fun and interesting to visit. Please check out more in my blog post below.

When I was living on the Sunshine Coast I remember the above Secret Beach sunset as spectacular! We had a collie dog who loved to swim so we would come down to the beach in the evening most days. She loved to swim and chase the stick into the water. I am very grateful to be able to live on the waterfront for a few years. With the ocean beside you life begins to become a series of waves – peaceful and calm. I really appreciate Zen chill out at the end of the day.
As you can see a beautiful orange glow shines off the ocean in the above sunset photo. There are many small pebbles on the beach. When the ocean waves roll in you can hear the sound of these pebbles as they roll on the beach. It was a very memorable experience to live in such a fantastic place.
Sunshine Coast equals = good memories and great nature. 🙂
Everyday is an awesome day to visit Vancouver Island beaches. There are many beaches to choose from and many of them are sandy. Together with the sandy beach are the beautiful ocean waves.
This is Zen time on the beach. All my senses come alive with nature’s soul vibes embracing me. Furthermore nature’s beauty is infinite.
Florencia Bay beach in Pacific Rim National Parks is a real gem. As well as its beauty this beach is remote and relatively untouched by humans. Remember to take out your trash and keep the beaches clean.
Have a great day and Happy Father’s Day Dad!! xo 🙂
