Similarly please check out Black Lab Nature here!

My black Labrador dog loves the beach.  Black Beauty will go anytime you want her to.  She especially loves her beach toy and will retrieve it for you when you throw it in the ocean.

Going to the beach with my dog is always a fantastic time for both of us.  Beach energy makes you feel wonderful.  The sand is soft on your feet and the air is fresh!

An amazing year and “Canada 150” theme for the sand sculpting festival in Parksville!

Iron Horse

Beautiful weather and just the right kind of sand can help the artists produce fantastic sculptures like the “Iron Horse” above.

The detail on “The Last Spike” is phenomenal!

The size and realistic features make this bear one of the many fantastic sand sculptures you can see in Parksville on the beach for a month. Come on down and spend some beach time! 🙂

Wickaninnish beach Pacific Rim National Park is located on the west coast of Vancouver Island in Canada.  A favorite place of mine to unwind and chill for awhile.

Only one of many spectacular beaches in the park, this beach seems endless and is a great walk to take if you like to be out on soft sand for hours at a time.

Englishman River Park

A beautiful summer day at Englishman River Provincial Park on Canada Day. Lots of young peeps swimming in the cool waters or just hanging out.

Large tree hug
Large Douglas Fir tree hug

The Douglas Firs trees along the banks of the river are hundreds of years old and they enjoy hugs.

Smiling stone face
Smiling stone face

This happy stone face greets you at the top of the hill heading towards the falls.  It is hard not to smile back at him on this fantastic day of celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday!

Englishman River waterfall

Beautiful waterfalls end your amazing nature journey on the trail.  A suspension bridge takes you across the river, offering you an awesome view of the Englishman River waterfall.

I highly recommend this trail at Englishman River Provincial Park but it is steep going down and coming back up so make sure you are in good physical condition.  The trails are well-kept and safe to walk on.
